Some CLASSIFIED pictures.. so you won't be able to know where did I took that stuff... but I thought it was nice to show you rottame a rock-solid FreeBSD box on a forgotten piece of hardware that does the job instead of those Compaq ProLiant 5500R, connected to this Catalyst 6509 :)

The AIX server

Then I'll show you my "new" Bull Escala DPX/20 server, yes it has floppy, cdrom and tape drive, Microchannel expansion slots and a huge fan. I still didn't remove the heat sink on the second CPU, nor on the first CPU so I don't really know what's driving the beast. By the way I was lucky that stuff has UWSCSI, ethernet and serial boards so I could boot it and start playing with the preinstalled AIX 4.0.0 :(

The Macintosh experience

Now it comes to my iSnow, yes my new PowerPC hardware :) Some friends ask me what is strange thing, well it's just a cute subwoofer. Here it is running a nice piece of software, but I found very uncomfortable to play with this button mouse :) No worries the keyboard does the right job, like when i discovered this thingie has an OpenFirmware just like OpenBoot in Sun machines.

... and the Macintosh surprise

Indeed, the story doesn't finish here: look at its color, it's white snow... nice but not what I ordered. Well Apple Store did a good job, they sent me a replacement in 10 days and here I introduce you to my actual iSnow, eheheh I liked the name more than the color :) So here it you can see my home in Milan, please don't blame at me about the naked wall, I promise I'll put on it something it deserves. Nice looking computer, uh? :-)

Titanium grade computing

At last I received my new notebook, fast blazing speed and great elegance for a 1" thick computer.

g4rce

A simple name for a simply powerful beast: my 'gee-fource' :-) It's fast, it's beautiful, and its 22" monitor is just wonderful. Have a look on this short movie.

cube

It took time and effort to build a PowerMac G4 Cube and couple it with a nice 17" display... but it was worth the wait :-)

The Aluminium epoch

After some years spent with my titanium made notebook I took the chance to upgrade to bwalker, a faster, bigger and better 1" thick computer.

HVAC calculations

Do you want to risk to leave to Tahiti with your girlfriend without having a Mollier diagram handy? :-) Well, get it here (4MB compressed TIFF file) for free :P

Flickring news

If you find yourself saying "Hey it's 2005!!! What's this page about?" while reading this page, maybe a better place to watch some of my pics is simply warping on my Flickr page.
